What is the MDRCBB?
The Minnesota Dental Research Center for Biomaterials and Biomechanics (MDRCBB) is a multi-disciplinary resource dedicated to furthering research and development in biomaterials, biomechanics, and nano-technology. We are proud to be a part of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. In 2021, the MDRCBB celebrated 30 years of industrial collaboration and scientific rigor.
Fostering Industrial-Academic Relationships

A major part of the culture at the MDRCBB involves partnering with companies based anywhere - from the Twin Cities metropolitan area to throughout the world. Learn more about our collaborations.
Services the MDRCBB provides
At the MDRCBB we have expertise in a broad spectrum of biomaterials engineering, surface analyses, computational biomechanics and more. We always welcome fee-for-service partnerships for services such as experimentation in the world's first artificial chewing machine, fondly known here as "ART." Learn about our services.
