About Our Program
Mission: To graduate a dental hygiene workforce who are leaders in healthcare innovation and support collaborative efforts with other professionals to achieve holistic well-being of persons and populations.
Vision: Integration of dental hygienists as self-regulated professionals into the healthcare team to provide evidence-based, person-centered care to achieve oral and overall health and well-being of all persons and populations.
We are the only dental hygiene program in the state associated with a dental school. We offer programs at both the baccalaureate and master of science degree levels.
Through this accelerated dental hygiene program, students can earn their BSDH in just three years, versus completing a four-year program.
The MSDH program prepares leaders in the profession for research, the healthcare industry and academia.
