Meet Our Course Director
Angela Hastings, DMD, is the Division Director of Community Outreach and Engagement and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Hastings graduated from Hamline University with honors and completed her dental studies at the College of Dental Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences. Before working with the University of Minnesota, Dr. Hastings was the Dental Director of Greater Portland Health and trained dental students at the University of New England. She continues to serve as a consultant for multiple Teledentistry companies and non-profit organizations to increase access to dental care for underserved patients.
Meet Our Experts
Tiffany E. Wilson, DDS, MPH, is an Associate Professor within the Department of Dental Public Health at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. Dr. Wilson obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. Following the completion of her DDS degree, Dr. Wilson received a certificate in Hospital Dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a Master of Public Health degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, where she completed a 10-week-long internship in pediatric oral health disparities at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Wilson has worked in both academic and clinical settings in Tennessee, California, and Indiana for several years. She held an academic appointment as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of General Dentistry at Loma Linda School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Wilson provides didactic and clinical training to dental students at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and has assisted the school's Mobile Unit, where she provided oral health care to children, adolescents, and adults living in rural areas of Tennessee.
Amber Lombardi, IPDH, is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mainely Teeth, located in Portland, Maine. She is a graduate of the University of New England, a Master of Public Health candidate at Southern New Hampshire University, and an American Dental Hygiene Association member. Amber started Mainely Teeth to bring community access to quality dental care. Mainely Teeth's mission is to break down barriers to oral health care and provide access to quality, compassionate dental care to individuals, families, and communities.
Brooke Fukuoka, DMD, DABSCD, is the dentist-owner of Your Special Smiles, a mobile dental practice to increase the quality of life for adults with special needs and geriatric patients with limited mobility through caregiver education and increased access to comprehensive dental care. As a Fellow of the Special Care Dentistry Association, she is a national public speaker with expertise in silver diamine fluoride, special care dentistry, and interdisciplinary care. Dr. Fukuoka advocates for solutions to safely expand access to care for patients who face barriers to care.
Jamie Collins, RDH-EA, BS, is the Sales and Education Manager at MouthWatch. She is a hygienist licensed in Idaho and Washington states. With a passion for patient care, especially those with higher risk factors, Jamie enjoys sharing the tips and tricks of the dental profession. Through speaking and writing for various publications, with over 80 articles published, she educates dental professionals worldwide. She was awarded the ADHA Trailblazer Award in 2021,2022 and the first recipient of the ADHA Standout Seven Corporate Hygienist award in 2022. Jamie has contributed to multiple textbooks and curriculum development and is a key company opinion leader.

Michelle Scholtz, DDS, is the Chief Dental Officer for Horizon Health Care, Inc., located in Howard, South Dakota. Dr. Scholtz graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science and the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Dental Hygiene before completing her dental studies at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Scholtz started her dental career at Horizon Health Care, Inc. and was named the Chief Dental Officer early in her career. Through their outreach program, Dr. Scholtz provides clinical training to dental students from various Midwest schools, including the University of Minnesota. Horizon Health Care, inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 31 medical and dental locations scattered throughout the state. Due to the large blueprint, teledentistry has been at the forefront of providing high-quality access to oral health for those in remote communities.
Crystal Spring, RDH, BS, LAP, is the founder of Smiles Across Montana, a non-profit mobile dentistry organization that serves the state with access to care programs that are changing lives and building bridges between public health and organized dentistry. Crystal is a national award-winning RDH, receiving the 2017 ADHA/HuFriedy Master Clinician Award, the 2019 Sunstar RDH Award of Distinction, the 2020 Today’s RDH Honor Award, and the 2021 Dimensions Six Dental Hygienists You Want to Know Award. She was also recognized as a 2023 Denobi Award Winner for her outstanding contributions to the dental industry.
