Dr. Sanders will present a review of medication-related considerations for pain management and substance use. You’ll receive updates on dental pain guidelines and a review of pharmacotherapy management of dental pain. The most common pharmacotherapy treatments for different substance use disorders and their implications for dental care will be presented. You’ll receive risk mitigation strategies and learn to engage with other healthcare providers (including pharmacies) to discuss controlled substance prescribing patterns.
