Dr. Michael Glogauer, DDS, PhD, Dip Perio, FCAHS

Dr. Glogauer is an internationally recognized dental clinician-scientist and a leader in dentistry, oral immunity, oral diseases, alveolar bone grafting, and the links between oral health and systemic health. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and is a Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, Head of Dentistry for University Health Network, Chief of Dental Oncology at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and owner of OMGPerio, a periodontal and dental implant practice in Hamilton, Ontario. 

Dr. Glogauer has received awards for recognition of scientific excellence and has received funding from the MRC/CIHR since 1994. He has generated over 240 peer-reviewed publications in dentistry, oral health, and immunology, with over 18,500 citations and an H-Factor of 67. He has five patents and is CEO and co-founder of start-up Ostia Sciences, which focuses on oral microbiome testing and probiotic development. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
