Gina Radeck has been part of the School of Dentistry for more than 35 years, making her mark and leaving an impact on everyone she meets along the way.

A School of Dentistry faculty member and staff member have joined forces to produce an all-in-one resource for learners across programs.

Advanced education programs at the School of Dentistry are combining efforts to create a sense of belonging, community, camaraderie and cohesiveness across specialties.

At this year’s annual All Faculty and Staff Retreat, I reminded us of our commitment to grow.

Brent Larson, DDS, MS, is the Interim Chair of the Department of Developmental and Surgical Sciences, effective Monday, June 20.

Karl Self, DDS, MBA, became the Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the School of Dentistry effective May 9.

Sara Johnson, assistant dean for student and resident affairs for the School of Dentistry, received the Patriot Award on March 15, 2022. Awarded by the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the Patriot Award recognizes “the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed,” according to the ESGR.

“Emily’s existing experience and credibility at the University of Minnesota, strong relationships with donors, demonstrated leadership of the development and alumni relations team and commitment to advancing dental education distinguished her as the right candidate to fill this role,” reflected Dean Keith Mays, DDS, MS, PhD, in his announcement of the role. “I look forward to continuing my work with her and hope you will join me in welcoming her into the role of the Chief Development Officer.”
