This year was filled with growth, learning and discovery at the School of Dentistry, and our news stories reflected that. We shared 101 stories last year, and our news stories were read more than 51,000 times.

School of Dentistry celebrates 198 graduates

With friends and family in attendance, the school honored 123 Doctor of Dental Surgery graduates, 26 Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene graduates, 8 Master of Dental Therapy graduates, 36 candidates for advanced education in dentistry, four candidates for the Master of Science in Dental Hygiene and one graduate student in oral biology.

Three women working to translate their dental degrees into United States licensure are taking every opportunity to learn while they’re back in school—and they’re giving back along the way. 

Sixteen international dentists join highly-educated PASS cohort

The School of Dentistry welcomed 16 new learners to the Program for Advanced Standing Students this January, comprising the class of 2024. 

The Program for Advanced Standing Students, or PASS, is a 29-month program designed for graduates of dental schools outside the United States and Canada who have moved to the United States and want to practice dentistry within the U.S.
