Dinner with Dentists allows for conversions with alumni about dentistry, career paths, space for informal mentoring, and providing students connections in the alumni community. Lunch & Learn
Alumni are invited back to campus to talk with current students about their experience in dental school and share exciting employment opportunities in the dental community.
This unique program is only offered to our alumni community. We know that current students will benefit from the knowledge and expertise that practicing alumni can share and the variety of dental practice opportunities for young professionals. Sign up to host a lunch & learn
Timing
These sessions are offered over lunch (12:05-12:50 pm). Day of the week depends on speaker and student schedules and can be held virtually, if requested.
Sometimes alumni provide lunch for students, but it is optional and not required for alumni participation.
What do I talk about?
- Talk about yourself! What was dental school like for you? How did you decide to practice where you do? What led you there? What would you do differently? What advice do you have for current students?
- What is it like to work at your practice? What things should you keep in mind when deciding if it's a good fit? Are there any current openings?

Become an Alumni Adjunct Faculty Member
We invite alumni to consider becoming adjunct faculty. The alumni voice and experience is invaluable in our student’s academic career.
Adjunct Faculty in the School of Dentistry oversee, teach and direct pre-doctoral students. Each division has its own responsibilities, and each specialty may include, but is not limited to the following:
- comprehensive assessment
- diagnosis
- treatment planning
- treatment
- management of dental patients

Gophers Hiring Gophers is designed for alumni to network with students and share current and anticipated employment opportunities with students. Gophers Hiring Gophers is open to all School of Dentistry students and programs. Alumni can introduce themselves and share a brief description of their practice. This program is unique and ONLY offered to the alumni community.
