Natalie Peterson, DDS is the School of Dentistry's new Assistant Dean for Patient Care & Clinical Services, effective Monday, January 6, 2025.

We’re an exceptionally creative group of people here in health sciences, and that’s evidenced at the exhibition happening through the Community Arts @ Health Sciences program.

December is an opportunity to reflect on the past as we plan for the new year.  As I reflect, I am extremely appreciative of the school’s Color Group leaders and the faculty that work in our Color Groups.

Operating quietly behind the scenes, one lab is doing its part to support the school, patients, dental and medical providers and research throughout the school and beyond.
 

Stephen Shuman, DDS, MS, FGSA, was inducted into the International College of Dentists as a 2024 fellow.

Mark Herzberg, DDS, PhD, received an honorary doctorate from Malmo University in October. 

Yvette Reibel, EdD, LDH, assistant professor of dental hygiene and MSDH Program Director, received the 2025 William J. Gies Award for Junior Faculty Achievement in Allied Oral Health Education. 

The School of Dentistry hosted its second Research Retreat on October 4, 2024, at the Bell Museum. 
 

A new dental hygiene course is helping learners feel prepared and confident before their National Dental Hygiene Board Examinations.
