Everyone in the School of Dentistry has a story about their decision to embark on a career in this field, and each one has a similar moment of truth — applying to dental school and then waiting (and waiting!) to be accepted. 

The School of Dentistry hosted its fourth annual Alumni Weekend on November 8-9, 2024.

The School of Dentistry hosted its second Research Retreat on October 4, 2024, at the Bell Museum. 
 

The School of Dentistry unveiled the country’s first and world’s second dental-dedicated MRI on September 18 with the opening of the Orofacial MRI Center (OMRIC).

Students and faculty represented the School of Dentistry at the American Dental Hygienists’ Association conference.

The Institute for Molecular Virology hosted the annual Symposium on Viruses and Cancer in June. Co-sponsored by the Masonic Cancer Center, the symposium brought over 70 researchers together to share updates in research and discovery.

The School of Dentistry welcomed its 134 new clinical learners into the profession at the White Coat Ceremony on Friday, September 6.

Members of the DDS Class of 2028, Dental Therapy Class of 2027 and Dental Hygiene Class of 2026 came together for orientation on August 7 and 8.

The School of Dentistry celebrated young investigators with the AADOCR Minnesota Section Research Exchange and Summer Student Research Symposium on July 30, 2024.

The School of Dentistry celebrated the graduation and completion of studies of the Dental Hygiene Class of 2024 with an awards banquet on Thursday, July 18.
