Strategic Plan moves forward at All-School Retreat

The School of Dentistry Strategic Plan took a significant step forward on Monday, September 14, at the 2015 School of Dentistry All-School Retreat in the DQ Room at TCF Bank Stadium.

The Strategic Plan, led by Dr. Ralph DeLong with significant help from Madeline Staats, will help chart the future of the School of Dentistry.

Monday’s retreat capped nearly two years of planning as faculty, staff and students discussed proposed actions and ranked the goals pertaining to the School’s six strategic initiatives - education, service, research, sustainability, environment and infrastructure. The goals and action items were developed by strategic planning teams and featured school-wide opportunities for input over the last two years.

Following the retreat, the Strategic Planning Steering Committee will review comments on the actions and rankings of the goals and modify the actions and goals as necessary. Following approval by the School of Dentistry, Dean Leon Assael, the Council of Chairs and the Council of Faculty, teams will be assembled to investigate and carry out the action items.
