The University of Minnesota Dental Clinics have earned the service industry's coveted Angie's List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of the local services marketplace and consumer review site in 2015. The award marks the fourth time Angie's List honored the University of Minnesota Dental Clinics in the last five years.

Louis Mansky PhD, a University of Minnesota School of Dentistry professor and director of the Institute for Molecular Virology, joined with other University of Minnesota and Emory University researchers on a project which may lead to a more cost-effective option for HIV medication.

The Fairview Foundation teamed with dental hygiene students at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry to apply fluoride varnish on the teeth of 350 children and provide oral health education to families throughout the fall semester.

The School of Dentistry celebrated with members of its fifth class of dental therapy graduates at a Senior Banquet held in their honor at the Campus Club on Thursday, December 3, 2015. More than 80 students, guests, faculty and staff were on-hand to congratulate dental therapy graduates Scott Danzl, Megan Guthmiller, Ashley Mayry, Katie Lynne Olson, Kassie Scott, and Lucky Vang.

The ADEAGies Foundation has named the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, along with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System (MnSCU) and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, as recipients of its prestigious 2016 Gies Award for Outstanding Vision by a Public or Private Partner for their efforts to advance dental therapy education in Minnesota. The Foundation also named School of Dentistry Professor Mark Herzberg, D.D.S., Ph.D., as the 2016 recipient of the Gies Award for Outstanding Achievement by a Dental Educator.

The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) honored Heather J. Conrad, D.M.D., M.S., FACP, FRCD(C), with the Educator of the Year Award. Dr. Conrad was honored in October 23, 2015 at the Annual Awards and President’s Dinner during the 45th Annual Session of the American College of Prosthodontists in Orlando.
