Introducing Learners to Leaders

The School of Dentistry is proud to announce a new frontier in recruiting, retaining and educating the best and brightest leaders in Minnesota and beyond.

Learners to Leaders, the Drive for School of Dentistry students, is a bold initiative that seeks to raise $1 million in scholarship funds for our learners.

With the national average debt for dentistry students at $300,000, scholarship offerings are a key component in recruiting the greatest minds in oral health care to our institution. Scholarship funds entice learners to choose the School of Dentistry, ease their journey through school and allow for greater post-graduate freedom, so practitioners choose to give back to communities in Minnesota.

“The SOD has established providing student scholarships as a high priority to recruit and retain learners,” explained Dean Keith Mays, DDS, MS, PhD. “These learners will become future providers serving the people of Minnesota and beyond. Without scholarship giving, we lose the best and brightest learners to other schools who can offer more.”
