Fourth dental therapy class honored at banquet

Dental Therapy Class of 2014

The School of Dentistry celebrated its fourth soon-to-be graduating class of dental therapy [LINK] students on December 4 with its annual banquet at the Campus Club. The event celebrates the conclusion of the nine dental therapy students’ formal education and training. The students will begin the licensure and employment process in January 2015 prior to receiving their degrees in May 2015.

School of Dentistry Dean Leon Assael [LINK TO BIO], School of Dentistry Alumni Society President Kim Johnson and Division of Dental Therapy Director Karl Self [LINK TO BIO] spoke at the event.

The Class of 2014 will bring the total number of School of Dentistry dental therapy graduates to 27. School of Dentistry dental therapy graduates are in private practice, non-profit community clinics, a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center, and in large group practices. Most graduates found their employment opportunities in Greater Minnesota.
