Learn How To

  • Complete an endodontic diagnosis, including identifying symptoms of non-endo origin
  • Consider anesthesia in endodontics, including hot teeth
  • Create ideal access preparations
  • Utilize hand instrumentation with stainless steel files, and glide path preparation
  • Analyze NiTi file instrumentation protocols (rotary and reciprocating)
  • Prevent instrumentation mishaps, including leading and blocking of canals, and file separation
  • Disinfect root canal system with various intra-canal medications, sonics, and ultrasonics
  • Discuss protocols for obturation (warm vertical and carrier-based)
  • Obturate in 3-dimensions
  • Utilize analgesics and antibiotics in endodontic cases
  • Utilize hand stainless steel files, glide path NiTi files, and rotary and reciprocating NiTi file systems
  • Discuss one versus two appointment root canals: when, how, and why
  • Review post-op pain and infection management, using analgesics and antibiotics in endodontics
  • Select instruments that suit your style of practice
