One of the unique opportunities we have as Americans is the ability to petition our state and federal legislators, advocating for resources to improve our communities and states to create a better lived experience for ourselves and neighbors.

We know that establishing good oral health and oral hygiene practices early in life will contribute to good oral health throughout one’s life.

This heightened presence gives us an opportunity to reflect on our values.

For the past few years, our development team has made a huge impact for the School of Dentistry. 

This year has been a year of excellence at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Our students, faculty and staff continue to be exceptional in their education, delivery of patient care and pursuit of new knowledge through research. This year:

Today I thank all who have served our country in the military, and for their contributions to the oral health profession. 

Access to care and health inequities sometimes require health providers to go where the people are, versus having the people come to us. 

My hope and encouragement is that we treat each of our patients as the special individual they are. 

I would like to share seven wins for us from this past year.
