Biography
Patty Hughes serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Dental Hygiene at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where she is involved in clinical and preclinical instruction. Her professional interests include interdisciplinary collaboration, patient-centered care and improving access to oral health services.
Ms. Hughes is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental Hygiene Program and has been practicing dental hygiene for nearly 25 years. Her professional experience spans a wide range of clinical settings, including small and large group practices, private practice and dental service organizations (DSOs). She currently practices clinically at the University of Minnesota’s Boynton Health.
Outside of her professional role, Ms. Hughes lives on a farm with her family, where they raise sheep and poultry.
