Michael Henderson, DDS

Dr. Michael Henderson is a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Division of Community Outreach & Engagement under the Department of Primary Dental Care. He is the Director of the Mobile Dental Clinic. He earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of North Dakota and dental degree from the University of Minnesota. Following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency from the University of Minnesota/Fairview Hospital where he focused on medical complex patients often requiring services administered in a hospital setting. Dr. Henderson practiced in various clinic settings with an emphasis on rural and community patient populations. Dr. Henderson accepted a full-time position to be the Director of the Mobile Dental Clinic in 2023, a unique clinic that cares for low-income patients transitioning them to a permanent dental home. He continues to practice part-time with Children’s Dental Services. He is a current board member of Ready, Set, Smile, a non-profit organization with the mission of providing education and preventive services to empower all children in our community to care for their oral health.
