Biography
Dr. Jae Sung Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences and at the Minnesota Dental Research Center for Biomaterials and Biomechanics (MDRCBB) at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from KAIST in South Korea. He completed postdoctoral training in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University, Northwestern University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He worked as a Senior Scientist at Primorigen Biosciences and Dianomi Therapeutics, where he focused on commercializing his academic developments. Prior to his current role, he served as a Senior Scientist in Dr. William Murphy's group in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests center around leveraging biomaterials-based approaches to address unmet scientific and clinical needs in dental and musculoskeletal tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
