Courses and Curriculum

Fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, this 12-month training program includes ambulatory patients, hospital in-patients, and general dentistry in an operating room, with an emphasis on the medically, cognitively, and physically challenged patient. The program also includes didactic courses in oral medicine, and conscious sedation to enhance and support the clinical experiences.

GPR residents have required rotations in internal medicine, emergency medicine, and anesthesiology. Lectures on geriatric dentistry, literature reviews, treatment planning conferences, case presentations, practice management seminars, and community service opportunities are scheduled throughout the program.
