Phonsuda Chanthavisouk, MDT, RDH

Phonsuda Chanthavisouk received her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) at the University of Minnesota (UMN) School of Dentistry (SOD) and began working in private clinical practice in 2020. She transitioned into community clinical practice upon receiving her Master in Dental Therapy (MDT) at UMN SOD in 2021. Chanthavisouk was a research coordinator and dental hygienist during her last year in the MDT program. She joined the UMN SOD immediately after graduation as a Teaching Specialist and is now a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Dental Therapy, Department of Primary Dental Care. In addition to teaching in a didactic and preclinical setting, she continues to participate in research and community clinical practice as a dental therapist. Her research focus is oral health-related quality of life and dental therapy.

Chanthaviouk’s professional memberships include American Dental Education Association, Minnesota Dental Therapy Association, and the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.
